Overnight Counselor
This is a full-time, overnight position. Counselors will supervise a group of 10–12 participants and will reside in the residence halls throughout the program. Housing and some meals will be provided. You will assist with check-in and check-out, supervise evening activities, and teach nightly devotionals. Approximately 40 hours/week.

Each of our dedicated, enthusiastic counselors will be responsible to
- Willingly and responsibly work to promote the physical safety and spiritual well-being of participants attending Broadway Bootcamp, especially those in your assigned group.
- Help all youth have a positive and uplifting experience and, as needed, handle youth disciplinary situations with sensitivity.
- Be able to demonstrate the mental and physical health necessary to safely engage with, be present with, and be responsible for groups of youth throughout the day and night while continuing to perform other job responsibilities.
- Consistently act as an exemplary leader, role model, and mentor for youth participants and fellow counselors.
Teach youth in a variety of settings.
As a representative of BYU, you will be required to
- Be a Young Single Adult member in good standing of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
- Have at least one year of college or one year of work experience out of high school in a music-related field.
- Accept as a condition of employment compliance with Brigham Young University Honor Code and to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
- Exhibit the mental health and emotional stability necessary to safely engage with and be responsible for staff and participants throughout the day and night and perform duties effectively in stressful and challenging situations.
- Safely engage with, be present with, and be responsible for groups of youth throughout the day and night while continuing to perform other job responsibilities.
- Able to make procedural decisions, exercise good judgement, reliability, and accountability.
- Able to organize resources and establish priorities.
- Exemplify strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Pass the required background check for this position.
- Complete ALL mandatory training requirements.
Payment for counselors is $400 for a week-long contract.
